Enforcing friendly urls

Starting with iXperion 1.3 build 3, you have the possibility to enforce the use of friendly urls. If friendly urls are enforced, requests to items that have a friendly url but are not requested by its friendly url are receiving an "HTTP 301 Moved permanently" to the friendly url. This feature helps getting a uniform url for the same item which helps with your search engine ranking and can be part of your SEO effort. You can enable friendly name enforcement by setting the enforce attribute in the Smartsite.config file.
