The Browsable property

Release 1.1 - ...

In the CMS, when editing the properties of a contenttype, you can set the Browsable checkbox.

This checkbox indicates whether the contenttype will be rendered by the iXperion Publication Server.

If this checkbox is not set:

  • Browse security is not applicable.
  • The contenttype should not be mapped to a normal publication channel.

Examples of browsable contenttypes are Web Page and Binary.

Examples of non-browsable (CMS) contenttypes are CMS Folder, Channel and Render Template.

Note that the Browsable property works similar to the browsable checkbox you see when editing a Channel item.
