<searchgroup> element

This element indicates for which Search Group the query xml is intended. The value of this node is used to resolve the facetedsearchquerybuilder's local instance viper this.searchgroupviewname().

The searchgroup element is optional however, since you could have a separate query xml  for external/custom table(s) which are not related to contents and/or any Search Group.
