Purpose

Enterprise Search supports to perform enterprise wide searches involving several sources such as web sites, RSS feeds, document files on disk, databases, and the Smartsite CMS.

Audiences

Enterprise Search documentation is subdivided per audience, at this top level.

• Administrator. Performs installation of Enterprise Search components and uses the Smartsite manager to administer silos, providers, sources and other aspects of the indexing process.
• Visitor. Performs searches, using simple search boxes or using advanced search pages.
• Developer. Develops Enterprise Search providers, implements search in applications and web sites.
