Contenttypes are an interface for editors to add content. A contenttype is a collection of logical fields which could be mapped to a physical field in the Contents table. Logical fields use webcontrols which help editors to add their information in a correct way. There are various webcontrols, which can be configured with numerous properties.

The webcontrol- and webform framework of Smartsite CMS Server is analog to earlier versions of Smartsite CMS Server. For a complete list of webcontrols, see the Smartsite 5 Support site. Smartsite CMS Server does have some additional properties which are described within this documentation.
