Manually uninstall SMI 1.5 for iXperion
Release 1.01 - ...
If you want to uninstall SMI 1.5 for iXperion, you need to perform the steps below. These steps assume your site has the name "EmptySix".
Uninstall SmiServer
- Stop the SmiServer service.
- Uninstall the SmiServer service by using installutil.exe /uninstall.
- Delete all Smi databases used by SmiServer if you do not need the data any longer.
Uninstall Smi from the webserver
- Remove the Smi registry keys or values:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Smartsite Software\Smartsite\ResFilters\*/smi/*
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Smartsite Software\Smartsite\Sites\EmptySix\SMIConnectionString
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Smartsite Software\Smartsite\Sites\EmptySix\Events\EventSubscribers\SMIEvents\*
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Smartsite Software\Smartsite\Sites\EmptySix\Macros\SMIExport\*
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Smartsite Software\Smartsite\Sites\EmptySix\Macros\SMISubscriptionReader\*
- Remove the Smi useractions
- Run the sql script in C:\Program Files\Smartsite Software\Smartsite Six\SMI\Setup Smartsite Site\Database Scripts\SQL Server\RemoveSMI.sq
- Remove the Smi HttpModule from the Web.Config file. There may exists multiple entries for IIS 6, IIS 7 and also check the locations with path="cms".
- Remove the Smi files (assuming the site root as a the current folder)
- Smartsite.ManagementInformation.config
- System\Locales\Dutch\SixSMI.xml
Uninstall files
- Delete the folder where SmiServer is installed. It is normally installed here: C:\Program Files\Smartsite Software\Smartsite Six\SMI
