To use Smi under Active Directory, you'll need to do some extra configuration.
In IIS, you must allow anonymous users to acces the folder WWW\Smi. Open the IIS Manager and select the folder "Smi" under the site. After selecting the folder "Smi", double click on the "Authentication" icon.
Enable Anonymous Authentication for the folder "Smi". This will allow access to the "Smi" folder without AD authentication which is necessary for Smi to work properly.
