iXperion Site configuration (Publication Engine)
The adviced configuration settings for the iXperion site (Publication Engine) are described and shown in the screen shots below.
Web Site
Choose an appropriate description and port number(s). Use the Advanced button to specify host headers and/or to specify multiple identities for the web site.
Since Smartsite uses it's own logging technique, it is usually not necessary to enable IIS logging.
Performance
It is left at the site administrator's discretion whether or not to use bandwith throttling and/or limiting the number of connections.
ISAPI Filters
Since the Smartsite CMS manager is hosted via a virtual application/directory within this site, it is necessary to add SixSmartSys.dll as ISAPI filter.
Home Directory
- In local path fill in the correct path to the www folder of the site (or use the Browse button).
- As Application name use the site name.
- For Execute permissions choose Scripts only.
- Select the application pool that should be associated with this site.
Click the Configuration button to open the Application Configuration dialog.
Check if the .net extension is listed, if not add this extension and map it to the C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll executable.
Do not check the "Verify that file exists" checkbox.
If not yet present, add a wildcard application mapping to C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll.
Do not check the "Verify that file exists" checkbox.
Documents
Add smartsite.net as default content page.
On the other tabs no (Smartsite) specific settings are required.
