Problem
The iXperion site name contains invalid characters. The limited range of allowed characters is caused by the COM manager and IIS6. Even when IIS7 is used, the COM manager still restricts the range of allowed characters.
Resolution
Only use the characters A..Z, a..z, digits, '.' and '-' in the site name. Rename a site by performing the following actions:
- Rename the registry key HLKM\Software\Smartsite Software\Smartsites\Sites\[SiteName]
- Rename the iXperion Site folder on disk (make sure registry and IIS site refer to the new location).
