Problem
As of Smartsite 7.3, a new State synchronization mechanism is available. It is recommended to enable this feature, by setting the UseAutoStateSync application setting to true.
Resolution
To change the UseAutoStateSync application setting, open the site within the Config Editor and unlock the site.
Then, in the right pane change the value for Use Auto StateSync.
When saving the changes, the registry will also be updated automatically to configure and/or enable the Auto StateSync background component.
