Important Note!

  • If you upgrade from Smartsite 7.1 or earlier, you must get a new license file from Seneca if you are currently using Hasp!
  • Before you upgrade to Smartsite 7.4, you must convert your database to use nvarchar instead of varchar. Scripts are provided to perform this conversion, but it may take some time to convert the database and it may involve some manual steps. We recommend that you test this step in a test environment before applying it in production.
  • Before you upgrade from Smartsite 7.4 or earlier, you must install .Net 4.5.2 on your server. We highly recommend that you install .Net 4.6.1 or later.

  • User data can now be reassigned to a different user, such that the old user can be deleted.

  • Enable the use of TLS 1.2 in Smartsite
  • Previewing content items that contain Razor translations now work correctly.
  • Fixed encoding bug where an Xml decode was performed on the logic field.
  • Razor translations can now handle multiple arguments.
  • Image server parameter are now remembered when changing a picture in TinyMCE.
  • EnableSSL setting added to the SendMail macro
  • Added more features to the Image Server and it can now be used from TinyMCE.
  • Added action parameters RequireAdd, RequireEdit and RequireList to hide user actions from the dashboard if the user has insufficient permissions to start the action.
  • Localizations from <siteroot>\System\Dutch\_sitedefault.xml are now also used for translations.
  • Set Item State now also shows non breaking dependencies.
  • Items can now be saved inactive when it is a subtree.
  • Bug fixed when saving content items showed a white screen on slow server connections.
  • Hide new items that are not yet saved from the Recent Edits widget
  • Folder rename did not work if only the casing was different.
  • Many other minor improvements and bug fixes

Known issues

  • If you open the manager for the first time, some icons may be blank. You must refresh the browser cache by pressing Ctrl + F5 to solve this problem.
